Our Introduction
Natural Selection combines the traditional businesses of management consulting and resourcing to deliver an extremely flexible approach to delivering outcomes for our clients in a way that fits with their company culture and overall aims. The operating model for any given engagement can be tailored specifically to the customer's needs. Anything from a traditional deliverable centric approach to co-sourcing or provision of skilled interim resources, to longer-term staffing solutions.
Natural Selection is a people-orientated business. We pride ourselves on having the very best people in the market. Our principal consultants are experts in their fields and have experience at the highest levels in some of the world's largest and well-known organizations. We believe in sharing that knowledge and experience across sectors and geographies. That enables us, for example, to take cutting-edge practices from a leading investment bank in London and apply them in an appropriate way to say a logistics company in the Middle East.
As consultants, we are chameleons and highly adaptive. We learn the culture of the organisations we work with and tailor our approach to fit seamlessly with our client's expectations, and wider cultural sensitivities. We align everything we do with our client's strategies and goals.

Integrity: We value above all else honesty and transparency in doing our work. We will not mindlessly execute on a plan we believe is sub-optimum or will not achieve the desired goals. We work with our clients to highlight any opportunities for efficiency and return that benefit to them.

Pragmatism: We are at all times flexible and practical in our approach. We utilise experience and knowledge to manage risk and predict issues as much as possible before they materialise, and act immediately to adjust the approach with our clients.

Knowing what good looks like: It's hard to visualise an end-state if you haven't lived and breathed it before and have an acute understanding of what that is. Our strategic experts have seen things done in many ways in their careers and use that knowledge to help clients shape strategies and target operating models that are proven.

Achievement of goals over adherence to process: While the process is valuable it only exists to support the achievement of goals. Where it gets in the way of the end goal then it has by definition become not fit for purpose and needs to change or be removed.

Always the best person for the job: We assess a wide variety of parameters in selecting individuals and use our in-house knowledge as leaders and hiring managers to get the right people.

Experience and attitude overtraining: A well-trained resource is great but there is no replacement for experience combined with the right attitude. We aim to get the right balance between technical knowledge, practical application of that knowledge and personal traits that will advance your organisation quickly.

Teamwork: Nothing is more powerful than a team of people with a common vision all working together to achieve it.

Less is more: A small team of cross-skilled, high-functioning, talented operators is better than a large team of people that meet minimum requirements. A smaller team has a lower management overhead and is more agile.
